Probably a lot because he's smokin! XD

Eh... yes. He's rich and doesn't have scales or anything. o_O
7) What would be their most recognizable feature(s)?
His messy hair. His roleplays take place in the Victorian Era so hair that is in a disarray is rather unusual for that time period.
8) Would you consider them as attractive?
Very Gaspard Ulliel XD Which in my words, means gorgeous.

Personality:

9) Do they have a temper?
When pressed, definately.
10) Does your character ever get depressed?
Yes, of course. He is a tragic musician, after all. ^^

Neither. He really sort of leads his own path.
12) What's the main aspect of his/her personality?
He's very dark and brooding, but is definately a charmer when he meets someone he finds intruiging or remotely interesting. He's educated and defies the stereotypes of the structured lifestyle of Victorian England.
13) Do they have any hopes or dreams?
He wishes to escape his seemingly uneventful existance and to play the piano in a famous opera house, of sorts. ^^

History:

14) Do they have a family of any sort?
He has many older brothers, one younger sister, an obnoxious mother, an an absent father, and numerous other relatives.
15) Are they out on their own?
No. He is living in London at Winchester Estate, planning to inherit the estate from his father soon, as opposed to pursuing his dreams.
16) Have they encountered any traumatizing events?
Not really, though he was rather sickly growing up. The ghostly pallor of his skin suggests as much, but as a grown man, he is fairly healthy.
17) What was probably the best time in their life so far?
In his opinion, there has really been nothing great about his life except when he is behind the keys of his piano. That is really when he is in his element.

Romance:

At the beginning of roleplays, he is typically single.
19) Have they developed any romantic relationships?
Sure, of course.
20) Virgin?
Nope. Dimitri lost his virginity at sixteen to a French prostitute he met in the French countryside when he was visiting his uncle who owned a vineyard and made wine. He has never told anyone, as it was a very scandalous event in his life. I doubt he regrets the decision though. XD
21) Does your character like flirting?
He's not much of a flirt. Most of the women his mother tries to set him up with have empty heads. He admires intelligence in a woman.

Symbolism:

22) What animal would you associate them with?
Probably a crow. He is observant, not physically strong in most cases, but is cunning, definately.

Err... piano, seeing as how he plays it. XD
24) What colour would you associate them with? (not their fav. colour… that's later.)
I would say a very pale blue. Nearly a ghostly grey. Maybe an intense red, like crimson? Not sure, I really can't decide.

I'm afraid of drawing him for fear of ruining my love for him. XD I have no talent to speak of in drawing people.

Well... he is a roleplay character....

Just his looks. All the ladies want him.

He has absolutely no patience to speak of, is majorly OCD probably to the brink of annoyance, and is constantly smoking.

For one he speaks fluent French, is very persuasive, and can easily read people's expressions and understand their emotions.

Drinks and smokes. He's not really a gambler.

Eh... I havn't really thought of any for him, actually. XD

He is paranoid that whenever he sees girls gossiping that they're talking about him. He is also afraid of heights and spiders.

If he were to see someone, especially a women, being abused, that would piss him off like none other.

Oh you know. I bombard him with bouquest, chocolates, love poems, and teddy bears. Yet still he keeps running away from me. I wonder why.

Heh heh, sure. He's pretty amusing.

Sure, why not?

I am always such a sap for Valentines. Even if at the time I happen to be single, taken, whatever, I still always enjoy it. I always feel sentimental and even a bit on cloud nine at certain times. I love seeing people carrying huge teddy bears, chocolate boxes, and feather roses. I love making little bags filled with candy and chocolate and then giving them to friends. I even receieved two chocolate boxes and a lollypop, myself. ^^

I meant to do a Valentines picture and have it up by today, but at the moment it is just a sketch. And I still have a bunch of sketches and linearts in Photoshop of characters that I have colored yet. But they will be done - eventually.

I hope everyone had a great Valentine's Day!

By the way, I've been reading the most marvelous book on the face of the planet called Rebecca by Daphne du Maurier. I've been trying to read more classical literature from Hamlet, Jane Eyre (and I'm going to try and tackle Macbeth after I finish reading Rebecca).

But Rebecca is possibly the greatest novel I have read. I'm not going to spoil it for you, but basically it makes you think it is somesort of love story, but towards the middle it turns into a psychological thriller. It is absolutely amazing, to say in short. I highly recommend it.

And on a last note, we got our class ranks the other day in World Geography, and out of about 930 students, I rank 87... or 88... I really can't remember. I'm going to ask Mr. Maneikis again, just as a reminder. I was actually very surprised, but I'm very pleased. And I'm going to try and rank even higher by the end of the semester. ^^

So I've gotten into this sort of Sunday Ritual. I'll wake up, grab a bowl of cereal for breakfast, go to the doughnut shop get two pigs in the blankets and a chocolate cake doughnut for a 2nd breakfast, and then head to church. We'll come home and I'll spend the rest of the day vegging out.

Well I'm not really a person who likes changes in my day-to-day schedule, so I don't think my Sunday Ritual will change anytime soon, unless my mom decides to become a tyrant and demand I clean my room. 0.0

Recently we got a "temporary cat" named Sunny. He's fat, old, big, and SO ADORABLE! *squishes fat kitty* The reason why he's a temporary kitty is because he is my sister's boyfriend's cat and Sunny's just staying over here until Matt finds a good apartment.

My cat Max doesn't really seem to like Sunny. Seriously, he stalks Sunny where ever he goes and always tries to be all hey-this-is-my-house-back-off and whatnot. Even though Sunny is huge and Max is a pansy. I think I'll take a picture of the two sometime if I find the digtal camera.

The coming of Valentine's Day has also made me a bit sentimental. ^^ So most likely I'll have that emotion leaking into my drawings.

I have also discovered that Fat Free Sour Cream and Onion Pringles are far superior to the regular kind. ^^

Just as the title suggests, I am hosting two contests. One, to give everyone an option, but mostly because I couldn't choose. XD The two contests will be judged together, not seperately. All of the entries will be judged based on creativity more than anything else, and it would help if I have more than three people entering.

The First Contest

My pirate captain Marrik is rather short on crewmates except for his First Mate Naraleu. So your goal, objective, or whatever is to draw one of your characters interacting with both Naraleu and Marrik or just Marrik, alone. They could be stealing a ship, being admitted into Marrik's crew, arguing, fighting, stealing treasure. Anything you want!

Like I said above, both contests are judged on creativity and the overall impact of your entry.

The Second Contest

I have this new character that I've been meaning to introduce named Thuy, but I havn't been able to come up with a good design. All I know is that I want her to have a kind of real-horse design, like an appaloosa, tobiano, buckskin, and what not but with a bit more unicorn, fantasy, flairish kind of thing. XD She is short, almost pony-ish, but she isn't an indian mare or anything.

So the contest is to come up with a new design for my mare Thuy. Of course, if you win you will be credited with the design.

Prizes

1st Place prize is a: Picture of any of your characters (your choice) complete with color, and a background. It is your choice if you'd prefer digital art or traditional art. And if you win 1st place in the Marrik contest, you get to have one of your characters (preferably the one you used in the Marrik contest) part of Marrik's crew. And you may also choose if you want them as Second Mate, Third Mate, navigator, etc. A roleplay between Marrik and that character would probably be needed, too. XD

2nd Place prize is a: Picture of any of your characters (your choice) with color, but no background. It is your choice if you'd prefer digital art or traditional art. 3rd Place prize is a: Headshot of one of your characters (your choice) wiht color, and with a vauge background. It will be done with digital art. And if you win 3rd place in the Marrik contest, you get to have one of your characters (preferably the one you used in the Marrik contest) part of Marrik's crew. And you may also choose if you want them as Second Mate, Third Mate, navigator, etc. A roleplay between Marrik and that character would probably be needed, too. XD

4th Place prize is a: A very detailed roleplay between any one of my characters and yours, both being your decision. It can be over DA notes, neomail, or even yahoo mail.

You can enter as many entries as you want, and as you can see, we'll need at least three participants, otherwise this contest is totally pointless.

The deadline is March 31st, but I can make extensions if necassary.

Since the rest of the civilization on DeviantArt have been creating contests, I thought I might make my very own too. Though this would be my first contest every to create, I think it would be very fun. Now, I just need to know if anyone would bother joining if I did bother to make one.
